Mit ihren beiden Rehabilitierungsstationen für junge Orang-Utan-Waisen und ihren Auswilderungsaktivitäten betreibt die BOS Foundation das weltweit größte Primatenschutzprojekt.
Die Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation gibt es seit 1991. Durch Fundraising, Öffentlichkeitsarbeit, Projektarbeit und internationale Zusammenarbeiten setzt sich die Organisation mit Sitz in Indonesien seitdem für das Überleben der Orang-Utans ein.
